SUP Morning Tour - 2.5 hours

Its important to take a break after paddling for a bit especially if this is the first time. Sunny or cloudy, the weather doesn't matter when you are having fun! Paddling at the speed of the slowest SUP allows the rest of us to look for bald eagles, cormorants, terns, different sea gulls, osprey, great blue herons, snowy egrets and possibly a seal. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to try this fun sport!
After getting your life jacket, you'll learn how to paddle on shore and how to carry your board to the water, get on it, and practice strokes in a cove near the launch. Once you get your sea legs, we'll start off toward our snack destination. Homemade snacks are our specialty, but you can bring your favorites too.
The 2.5 hour tour will go quickly. Wear quick drying clothing (no cotton), closed toe water shoes that will get wet, sunscreen, and hats. Bring a change of clothing and towels in the car for afterwards. Your guide will be taking some candid photos of your trip, but if you want to take your own, bring the camera in a waterproof bag.
If the wind or waves are too strong for a safe paddle at Mere Point, your guide may move your trip to another location such as the Androscoggin River in Brunswick. If there are unsafe conditions for SUP'ng, then your guide will work with you to reschedule you to another tour. Your safety is most important.
If you don't see a tour that fits your schedule, email Alice to schedule a private tour.
