Winter Fire Building DSCN2971Winter Outdoor Skills Workshop.  Join future Registered Maine Guides and other outdoor enthusiasts in learning the outdoor skills that they need during winter season and beyond. This group workshop is hands on, all day. Snowshoes will be worn, fires built, searches and shelters completed. This fun event is good for future Registered Maine Guides, hunters, ice fishermen, and youth group leaders. It will be held outdoors all day so dress in layers and bring more.

Baseplate Compass This Map & Compass distance learning training is so that you will be safe using a magnetic compass and a topo map to navigate anywhere. This two session class meets two weeks apart for 1.75 hours each time using Zoom meetings.

This class is highly recommended for future Registered Maine Guides, volunteer trip leaders, hunters, search and rescue volunteers and those that want to be safe in the outdoors.  

Price includes access to an online course to supplement your training and act as your textbook. You will need a baseplate 2 degree compass and a Delorme Maine Gazetteer.
